| So the other night a buddy with a supra called me out to race him at the local track in pheonix. I was getting off work when I realized one of my wheel studs were snapped. I knew that the tech at the track were very strick and nissan and coz were closed to so I went to the local checkers and picked up 2 new wheel studs. I get back to the shop I work at and install them and tq them to spec. Fast foward to last night........ I am cruising down the highway roughly 85mph and all of a sudden the back of my car starts to shake and make a horrific noise. At first I thought it was a blown tire since it was swaying back and fourth and and shaking. I get out of the car and take a look and found nothing. I get back in my car and keep driving. It just kept getting worse, so I tell my friend to get on the other side of my car and drive next to me to see what was going on. As soon as he did he was like bro get off the highway it looks like your wheel is about to fall off. I pulled into a sonic and we jacked the car up using the spare jack. The verdic..... The two studs I bought from checkers snapped from god knows what and somehow started to make the nissan ones stretch. I dont know how this happend, or what caused it but I am just happy the nissan ones stretched and didnt snap like the non oem ones did. Moral of the story, dont buy non oem parts. Spend the few extra dollars and get the stuff that you know will be safe. If my car would have lost that tire(even though I wasnt racing, or speeding, only was going 10 over) I could have killed my self and alot of the cars that was around me. Just wanted to give a heads up to people.
